Just buy it if you are thinking about it.DO NOT BUY IT from BUY PLUMBING. They do not take returns, will not deal with issues and take forever to ship. We got the wrong shape and it is totally unopened and they will not take it back. Also all returns they charge a 20% restocking fee. What bugged me was the effort it took for him to hold himself up while sitting on the adult-sized seat, so as not to fall in, and that reminded me of the built-in toddler toilet seats. I narrowed it down to 3: Kohler, Bemis, and Flip Family. Your own needs and requirements may differ when it comes to choosing the one that's right for you/your child.1) The Bemis toilet cover retains the look of a normal cover/lid with no special cutout design to access the toddler potty; the toddler potty seat is completely hidden underneath it. Its a clever idea with the toddler toilet seat that fits inside the lid. It is an otherwise normal toilet seat and lid with a toddler seat build in. The seat must have a magnet built inside since it used to stay up inside the lid until needed. The first month we installed one it worked great.The flaw is that there is something in the hing that binds up. After a month of ownership the lid hinge started to bind up and was very hard to separate from the seat. It take mussel now to pry the lid up from the seat and use the sit-down part. In practice the kids are now trained just to leave the lid up, and the boys don't bother with clearing the seat. The only one who has benefited from this is the dog who now has unimpeded access to the magic water well.
